Years Experience

About Us

The Kitchen's Philosophy

Thom spent eight years at two Michelin-starred restaurants in London before returning to Bristol to cook the food he actually wanted to eat. No foam, no unnecessary technique — just exceptional produce, handled with skill and respect. Every supplier on our list is someone Thom has met in person. The lamb comes from a farm 12 miles away. The fish comes in daily from Brixham. The wine list is built from relationships with small producers Thom has visited in France, Spain, and Georgia.

  • Zero food miles where possible
  • Menu changes every week
  • Nothing on the plate that doesn't need to be there
  • AA Rosette awarded 2022 & 2023

An Evening at The Vine

From arrival to the last glass — here's what to expect.

01

Arrival & Aperitifs

We'll welcome you with a glass of something sparkling and walk you through the evening's menu while you settle in.

02

Seasonal Starters

The kitchen sends a small amuse-bouche before your chosen starters — a bite-sized introduction to the night's ingredients and ideas.

03

Main Courses

Dishes built around the season's hero ingredient — whether that's line-caught fish, dry-aged beef, or the best vegetable on the farm right now.

04

Desserts & Digestifs

Puddings made in-house every morning. A cheese selection sourced from Neal's Yard. And a digestif list worth lingering over.
